Maastricht University School of Business and Economics - The Netherlands

The Maastricht University School of Business and Economics (SBE) is a triple accredited comprehensive Business and Economics School in Maastricht, the Netherlands, founded in 1983.

SBE provides high-quality education to students through four main bachelor’s programmes, eight master’s and two research master’s programmes; it also conducts excellent research, and offers an international perspective in both education and research. All degree programmes are based on problem-based learning, with a strong emphasis on the development of problem-solving skills, group-work skills, and self-directed learning skills. The emphasis on skills development prepares students optimally for the needs of the European knowledge society.

Internationalisation is a high priority at SBE.  All study programmes, except Fiscal Economics, are entirely taught in English. About 40% of its 3.750 bachelor’s and master’s students have a foreign background, whereas one third of its employees are non-Dutch. SBE’s extensive network of about 135 excellent partner universities allows it to exchange over 600 students annually.
